There is much buzz about the real owner of the Eclipse. Recent reports have confirmed that Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, is the proud owner of the glorious 557-foot mega-cruiser. The Eclipse is the largest yacht in the world to date and features two helipads, a swimming pool, a missile-detection system, and a submarine. The windows of the Eclipse are bulletproof and the master-suite is armor-plated, providing a safe sanctuary for its master and commander. The Eclipse has dethroned the former titleholder of the world’s largest yacht that spans a length of 524 feet, owned by the Sheikh of Dubai.

This super cruiser’s current owner is the Sheikh of Dubai but was initially built for Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei. Built in 2006, The Dubai has an estimated value of $300 million, which makes it the most expensive yacht in the world.   • The Al Said – 508 Feet

Flaunting a spacious concert hall good enough for a 50-piece orchestra, The Al Said is the third largest yacht with a total length of 508 feet. With its chosen resting place in the Middle East, the yacht’s deck is hot weather-ready, completely enclosed and air-conditioned. The fortunate owner of The Al Said is Sultan Qaboos of Oman. The magnificent cruiser can host 70 guests and 150 crewmembers altogether.

  • The Prince Abdulaziz – 482 Feet

The Prince Abdulaziz enjoyed the glorious title of being the world’s largest yacht for ten consecutive years since its launch in 1984. It was an original possession of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia for decades until he bequeathed the magnificent vessel to his brother, King Abdullah upon his death. The yacht is fully equipped with large spaces and 12 staterooms to accommodate 22 guests. The main deck is home to a large lobby with a design patterned after The Titanic.

The mega-yacht boasts of more than 80 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a fully-equipped hospital, a library, a gym, and a spa. The estimated value of this floating palace is $200 million.
